The ‘Pure’ Litter

Ellie’s puppies were born between 1.30 am and 7.50am on Friday 9th March 2007 - 5 dog and 4 bitch puppies - ranging in weight from 12oz to 1lb 3oz. 

Mossburn Colonel Mustard is owned and bred by Sue Pounds-Longhurst - a very well respected lady within the breed.  She was Golden Retriever judge for bitches at Crufts in 2003.  She has also written a book about this fabulous breed.  Kernel is a show dog and achieved 2nd at Crufts 2005 in both the Working Gundog and Good Citizen groups.  Kernel is a very well mannered and good tempered dog - as I believe all retrievers should be. Sue has also had success at Crufts with her bitch Mossburn Bla Monj - 1st in Post Graduate bitch in 2004, and 1st in Working gundog bitch in 2006 - another bitch Mossburn Mynt Sauce was 2nd in Good Citizen bitch also 2006.

Last year Sue mated Kernel to her bitch Bla Monj - keeping a bitch from this litter Mossburn Don’t Mind Me - Chelsea - who has also been very successful in the show ring with 7 1st’s in her puppy career.

In August 2007 - Kernel won his 1st RCC - congratulations to you both. And in October 2007 - Kernel won his first CC - a brilliant achievement - well done.

Kernels owner came down to see the puppies when they were 6 weeks old. She was very pleased with the quality of them - especially little Archie who she thought was of ‘show quality’
